Laurence (Laurie) Edward Montgomery (born August 17, 1936) is a Canadian politician, who served as a Liberal Party Member of the Legislative Assembly in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1998 to 1999, representing the electoral district of Annapolis.

Personal and professional life

Montgomery was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan to parents Cecil and Nora Montgomery.

He was elected in the 1998 provincial election. He defeated the Progressive Conservative candidate by 250 votes. Montgomery did not run again in the 1999 provincial election.[1]

Montgomery and his wife, Paula, have three children and seven grand-children.
